Door blocks out floor pattern fill in Floor Plan

I have a tile pattern fill used to show the tile pattern in bathrooms and kitchens. However this pattern is "blanked" out at every door or opening threshold. Is there any way I can get these doors to stop blanking out the floor pattern fill? I'm using archicad 13

Set the Plan symbol fill Background Pen to transparent instead of -1
