Double generation in 3D window

When I generate a new 3d window it pops up, thinks and shows me what I want to see. Now I want to move around in there so I pan or shift/click/drag to rotate the building, as soon as I start to move around it regenerates all over again. After this second regen I can move around all I want. Regen time is painful enough, where is this second regen coming from. This is with multiple files but doesn't act this way on other computers.
Any similar situations or solutions?

I am flailing here, but since the behavior is for only one machine, it MIGHT BE the 3D window settings.....

here are the least disruptive window settings.

Good flail. It was the auto-rebuild when activated. I guess moving the model was "activation" causing a rebuild.
