ELEVATION LINE OVERRIDE?

Hello everyone:

In the elevation view i have a wall on top of a beam.
The beam has thicker line,color and material. But, the bottom line of the wall overrides the top line of the beam. How can i fix this?

did you check the view elevation settings for the beam?
a screenshot would be helpful here
