Export Floor Plan with Transparent Background

Is there any way to get a transparent background?

I've tried looking at PDF export, PNG, TIFF, etc

Can I get a transparent background?

I want to put a floorplan onto an image of a plot I've found.

What are you using to insert the image? I have been printing to a PDF plotter and they always contain transparency. Not sure if it is transparent when exporting to PDF, as I rarely do that as I found it slower with no noticeable difference...

Indeed. I have mostly been using CutePDF.

You mean to open the PDF in Cute PDF to export the transparent image to PNG?

I set the printer to CutePDF and it creates a PDF containing transparency.
I just tried Saving-As and the resulting PDF contains transparency...

What program are you using to combine the two? Internal?
Are your background fills transparent?

How do you know that this PDF contains transparency?
I've printed to layers and I can turn on and off the layers, but the background is still white.

I drop it into Photoshop or Indesign and the background is transparent.
