Fitting bottom of walls to mesh surfaces

How do we "trim" the bottom of a wall to sit correctly above a sloping mesh surface below.

I know I can trim to roof if I use a "roof slab" instead of the mesh but in my case the mesh works better.

Any ideas ?

Couple things to try.

1. Solid Operations. Use the mesh to subtract the walls with a downwards extrusion.

2. In the goodies folder there is an add-on that can turn your mesh into roofs.
