perpendicular edge on bottom with roof surfacer

When I place a roof surface with the roof surfacer it only does the bottom edge vertical. Is there an option to have it perpendicular to the roof plane. It is not physically possible to build a roof surface vertical. Why is it doing this? Every video I have found on how to use the surfacer the bottom comes out perpendicular.

Is there a new roof surfacer available in 28? Does it work the same or is 26 the latest?

Operating system used: Windows 6014

I got the library to load in 28, but it is still the same. I need the awning to be yellow and the standing seam texture is grey. No matter how I change the surface the grey still comes through. I was hoping the roof surfacer would work. Do I have to use a morph?

You can set the standing seam material to what ever you want.

The contour pen is the colour of the edge lines, if that is what you mean by grey showing through.

And as far as I know the front edge will always be vertical.

It looks like the hips and bottom will always be vertical and the top will always be perpendicular with no option to change them. Very frustrating!
