Force all move to particular layer

Is there a technique to force all the selected objects to move to a particular layer with one command instead of having to move each object category individually?

Use the "Edit selection set" button

s2art is right, and if you are not familiar with its' location in the standard WE, you will find this 'hammer' icon in the info bar.

This tool also allows you to edit pen for all those elements at one time.
BTW, it only appears if you have already made a selection...

Thank you both very much. I've been using it and this really helps out. Been using AC five years and it's funny how many things like this I didn't know about but wish I did.
