any particular reason when placing grid elements the bottom and right side are not symmetrical to the top and left side in terms of offset from object being used for showing the grid elements? or is there a setting that can fix this.

I believe the grid offset is in relation to the total length of the gridline? So if that slab wasn't centered on the north/south gridline (up/down line) then it wouldn't be evenly spaced from it's edges. If you make the gridline length such that it was offset the same distance from each slab edge it would be the same?

not following what you are trying to convey? the grid design system tool automatically generated the grid with no graphical modifications from my end. I also don't see any flexibility with regards to offset within the interface.

finally figured out that i was in the wrong interface and what i was looking for is under pulldown menu "design" then select "grid system". had to go through several iterations to understand what each of the settings had to offer and eventually was able to get what was needed.
