Hidden Line problem

I have ArchiCad 9 running under windows xp pro and have encountered a problem that perhaps someone could help me with.

When I go to 3D mode the wireframe and shading work but I cannot get the hidden line mode to work, the icon is greyed out. I have opened some old drawings produced in version 7 and 8 and the hidden line mode works fine ?

Any suggestions what could be happening.

you must switch to internal engine, not open gl

Wonder why we can't choose Hidden line in Open GL, I think Open GL draw hiddenlines faster than internal engine.
But maybe Graphisoft own engine is a god at hiddenlines?

Forget my last posting, I have just found out how to switch to internal engine, all ok now, thanks again for assistance.
