Hole in roof

Trying to get a hole in a roof and in 17 we didn't have a problem with making the holes in the roofs. In 18 we do the same thing but the hole drops to the ridge line and I can't figure out how to change it from doing that.

Sorry let me clarify we build grains bin and towers and it happens when we try to cut the top of the cone.

Can you show an example and explain how you are cutting the hole?
I am assuming you are using the pet palette but it could also be done with a Solid Element Operation.

In 17 we just made the hole at the peek that we need selected the roof and then the roof tool and magic wand the circle and it cut the peek to the width of the hole. in 18 we do the same thing but when we do it it takes the hole to the ridge line and doesn't leave it where it was before the cut. Ill get a screen grab when I'm at work in the morning.

I have no idea what your roof looks like - will wait for your screen shot.
But I just tried cutting a hole with the magic wand and it worked fine so long as I selected the roof, made sure the roof tool was active and then magic wanded on the circle.
This way I did not have to invoke the pet palette and choose the "Subtract from Polygon" option - but it works doing it that way too.

I will try to mimic your roof when I see the screen shot.

This may be related, but we are aware of a bug when a multiplane roof has a 0mm eave overhang - then drawing a hole will incorrectly make additional ridges.

It looks good though.
