How can I make balustrade bottom panel

Hello! I'm trying to make a balustrade as on the picture. The problem is with the bottom panel. In automatic mode it is just diagonal, but if I manually draw it on each step - the top rail also becomes "stairy"

Thanks!

All I can suggest is to add stepped stair stringers, make them quite deep.

Then place a roof and subtract downwards to cut off the bottom.

It would be great if the stepped stringer had a raking underside option.
