<warning>I am a new Archicad user

I am trying to create a wall (stone) that, when drawn in elevation, shows a graphic stone pattern.
The wall tool does not seem to allow me to associate a pattern to a 2d elevation.
Is there an easy way to do this?
I have been playing around in GDL but I'm not sure which angle to start on. Do I try and extend the wall tool, do I create a wall extension.... what are my options?
any help is appreciated.

You need to assign a 3D Hatch to the Material of the Wall in the '3D Hatching' Panel of the Options\Materials Dialog.
Also, in the 'Model Effects' panel of the Section/Elevation Settings Dialog, check the Vectorial 3D Hatching checkbox.

Yes, but how do you assign a different pen to hatch than is used by wall?
Hatch should appear faint, wall edges strong.
A big problem!

Thank you!! I had forgotten all about that separate setting.
Would be great if you could control penweights of elements within elements own dialogue !
Cheers
