Hi everyone,
I’m working on a facade similar to the one shown in this example, where aluminum panels with different shapes, dimensions, and angles are arranged around the windows.
I tried to create them using the Morph tool, but since each panel has a different size and angle, I’m having trouble joining or aligning them properly around the window.
Does anyone have experience or advice on how to model this kind of facade efficiently in Archicad (I’m using Archicad 28, German version)?
Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi ,have you tried custom columns and beams?

Actually,No -just with Morph and custom wall.

It could also possibly be done with splayed (angled) window reveal settings. These can only be done on the 'inside' of the window, but if you place a second 'opening' type window, you could place it inside out.

another one could be with curtain wall (a thin section). This one is interesting because curtain wall allows you to select the rotation plane/axis around which you can rotate the wall, which would allow for the angles you show here. it would be mostly a manual affair, but it think it can work too.

Depending on the number of different panels and whether the depth of the facades varies or not, maybe I would model each one as a separate CW custom panel. Modeled as surfaces and other parts as slabs. Made it in 5 minutes, please look attached. Four different panels modeled, but I think 10 panels would not be that much to model, not even 20, if you compare the ease against other options.
Make sure to turn off every other CW component but the panels. And panel depth should be set accordingly to your design. You can then "paint" your different panels in 3D to look according to you please.
ps. if the depth of the facade were to change in different parts, it would become a little bit more complex to do.
