Hello!
I am new to Archicad so this may be a stupid question. When I edit an element (for example changing the width of door), how do I save the element so that I can reuse it elsewhere on the model? In Revit I would duplicate a premade object, edit and rename, is there a similar method?
Thanks in advance,
Dan

Archicad has a thing called favourites.
On the option page of your element ( door windows etc) click on the star on the top left.
then on the star with a + that appeared at the bottom left of the dialog.
There is also a dedicated palette to navigate your favorites and find themeasily when you have many of them.

Check out the Eyedropper & Inject Commands; Option+click & Command+click on a MAC.
Also, investigate Favorites for creating and implementing standards...

Types as a concept does not exist in Archicad.
Favorites is the closest thing to it.
