ID Manager

I need to number 60 footings that I did not label in my origianl plans. When I use the ID Manager it does a good job of renumbering them for me, however, the numbering is almost random.
Is there anyway to get more control over how the new numbers are assigned?

Steve,
Prior to going into the element ID manager, select each footing individually by shift clicking in the order that you want the numbering to occur.

hope this helps,

That seemed like a good idea but didn't work.

Steve, by all means take a look at the thread Dan suggested. Trust me... it works EVERY time PM me if you have a question.

the ID Manager works great, its the randomness of the re numbering that I was hoping to control.

Getting a uniform result may not be possible for some items like slabs.

It works! It was just a matter of settings. Also, it may have helped that I clicked save after selecting the items in order and before using the ID Manager.
