Idiot Mistake - Help (exited without saving)

Worked for several hours (with auto-save on)
When it came time to exit, I accidently hit "exit without saving".....
OUCH!
Is there a way to retreve work.. or did I just learn a valuable lesson?
I did check the backup file and it did not have any of the work...
(yes.. that loud scream you just heard was me...sorry)

I fear you learned a lesson the hard way. Wise to press ctrl-s / cmd-S reasonably often to make sure your BPN file is not as far out of date was yours apparently was.

gives the default autosave location for Mac... but I just checked there, and I have no autosave files, so apparently the files are erased after a normal exit? Maybe it is different on Windows.

I know the feeling, but as Karl said there is nothing u can do about it.
