Importing 3D DWG

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hi there,

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I am currently pulling out all of my hair. And I'm quite fond of it to be honest, so any help will be greatly appreciated!

I'm currently working on a project where a separate company has sent me a 3D DWG file containing the site.

All well and good, means less modelling for me! Woo!

However, once I import the DWG into Archicad the DWG is an object and therefore cannot be edited any further. Bummer!

Is there anyway that I can import this DWG into archicad and make it act as a mesh which I would normally create in Archicad so I can further edit the model?

I know that I can do Design>import surveyors data to create a mesh, however that only works for .txt or .xyz files.

Any advice?

Thanks

Tom

If you can upgrade to 16 then you could open the DWG as an object and then convert it to a Morph.
But if you are stuck on 15 then you could try this.
