Intersection between wall and roof for dormer window

Resistopoulos

Hi,

I have built a dormer window in AC 26. Everything works perfectly in 3D but not in 2D. In plan view it's as if AC doesn't take into account that the base of the wall has been cut by the roof element.

I've played around with

  • the floor plan cut plane
  • the "Floor Plan Display" settings go the wall ("Overhead all" etc)

without results.

I've recreated a simplified version of the problem and made screenshots.

Am I missing something?

Thanks, Alexandre

To answer my own question: I've modelled the sides of the dormer with Beam tool and did an SEO with the roof and it works. The 3D and the 2D views now match.

I'm still interested in knowing if there is a "better" method though.
