Intersection of Vaulted Ceiling

i have two vaulted ceiling but not sure on how get them to intersect

What are these vaults ?
Complex Profiled elements, the "Shell" object, Profiler objects,
or TrussMaker objects ?

i created them from the roof tool

If roofs, intersect them as roofs - CTRL click.

If Complex profiles, intersect them as walls.

First you will have to split the the little roof segments in the
main vault that will have to miter with the corresponding
segments of the cross vault.
Then stretch the split segments back in a stepped pattern
starting from the center of the main vault and increasing
the amount of stretch as you proceed down to the bottom.
Then select one segment in the cross vault and control/command
click (depending on using Mac or PC) on the edge of
the corresponding segment in the main vault that you
want to miter together. Then select the other segment of
the pair and control/command click on the the edge of the
the corresponding edge that you want to miter.
Mitering roof edges is always a two step process.
Select one roof, control/command click on the edge
of the other roof, then do the same thing with the other roof selected.
Do this with all pairs of corresponding segments.

Can't you just select the entire main vault and ctrl/cmd click the edges of the other vault?

Hello Link,
I just tried what you suggested and I can't get it to work.
I am probably doing something wrong.
I then tried doing the split operation and then tried
again but AC does not know which roof segment needs
to be mitered. I had reasoned that you have to split
the segments of the main vault so that you have two
pieces, one to miter with it's corresponding segment
on one side of the cross vault and the other to miter
with the the one on the other side of the cross vault.
Also, I suggested the stretch operation so that you
could see what you were doing and be able to select
and click on the correct element.
I hope I am wrong because all this splitting and stretching
is time consuming.

It finally dawned on me a much quicker way to intersect
the two barrel vault roofs. It does not involve stretching,
control/command clicking, etc.
Using lines, split the relevant roof segments
in the manner shown in the attached image
and snap the two vaults together.

No, but trimming along a known intersection line is OK, as long as you don't care about the roof edges angle.

Only CTRL clicking each of the intersecting toof planes gives the correct result, as does the Composite profile approach - then it is probably a beam or a wall, not a roof ...

It is much cleaner and easier to do with a profile though. As in this example I posted a while ago...
