Hidden lines showing as solid intersections in ceiling plan

Hello,

Currently, I am doing a structural assignment for University requiring structural floor and ceiling plans. My Rafters, Jousts and other elements however are not displaying correctly. I've set the rafters to have a fill but I can still see the hidden lines of the elements underneath as solids. All hidden lines have been set to dash and as you can see by the 3d model they are at different height intervals.

Not sure if this is a display override issue as I've tried every one of them and nothing is changing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Operating system used: Windows 10

Check your draw order? Turned off any GOs? Trace is off?
