Is anyone else less productive with ArchiCAD 10?

As I sit here just finishing up sending a set of drawings to plot having spent 40 minutes cleaning up the drawings so the will plot without the black fill bug I have just realized that somehow my auto referencing on all my sections and elevations is screwed up and all sections reference the same drawing and all elevations a different one. So once again I have a set going out that is not right.

Which leeds me to contemplate that I have been working on this project in AC10 for two months now and it is behind schedule and over budget and I have yet to have a clean set of plots go out. I am finding lots of bugaboos with this version that have turned into productivity killers. I am finding the internal plotting a time killer because I cannot work in the file while it is updating, the black fill bug is taking up time, misreferencing section cuts are now getting me, the Sun study bug lost me a couple of days. And without really being able to list other items I just have a general (and monetary) feeling that I have not achieved productive parity with AC9 and am strongly considering returning to it. It seemed like with AC9 I was more productive immediately.

Is anyone else experiencing this or am I just grouchy/loosing my touch?

Not by a long shot. Our teams on 10 are annihilating the teams stil on 9.

A couple of other grouchy users though.

How about a little more than just this little sound/read bite.
Reminds me of the storey about Pinocchio.

The teams in the company using Archicad 10 are getting more work done in less amount of time than those using Archicad 9. Their projects are seriously profiting from the new profiled elements, multi-story walls, solid-colored elevations, and the plotmaker/layout integration. Those features have been real money makers for us.

The learning curve was rough, but most people made it through pretty quickly (which I take credit for, putting through the ringer re-training them on new features when AC10 was deployed).

Don't get me wrong, I have my complaints about 10 and some of its bugs, but it's been really good for us and a big improvement over 9.

That is the biggest mistake of GS. AC has changed the working method (quite suddenly). Old user need some training from GS, but GS has given very studpid learning material for AC10!.....
This interaktive training is just for beginner and not for old user who must learn the changed figures of AC.

On ArchicadWiki, there are some stuff that can help anyone see the differences between AC 9 and AC10:

I think that 10 will prove itself much faster when all the bugs are ironed out. I am squandering time establishing wether issues I am having are because I don't know about a new setting or whether there is a bug. That takes up a lot of time. So far about 70/30 bugs vs settings. I have spent much more time in that process than in the transition between 8 & 9. That seems logical considering how much more has changed. But I have spent hours (adding up to days) dealing with work arounds for buggy behavior.

And check out my thread
http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=11712

I am working on an old project in 9 today and there is absolutely no hesitation in any 2d process there. In 10 there is at least a one to two second hesitation between clicking and dragging. Sometimes much more. Absolutely no hesitation in 9 between the click and drag. Same on all my machines (4) but more pronounced the bigger the monitor. Makes me crazy as I move pretty fast and find myself waiting for 10 to catch up.

So for me in some respects (2d navigation) 10 is a bit buggy and definitely slower at present. (If any of you have any ideas on how to eliminate my 2d lag visit my post as I have tried everything short of re-installing system software)

As far as layouts and project information and smart linking of details, 10 is hands down the more productive (turn off auto update). I don't miss plotmaker in any way.
Ditto for design work in the 3d window. A few bugs but in general feels like progress.

But there are bugs in all areas of this release and they do lessen my enthusiasm for 10 somewhat. The combined process of learning new settings and pinpointing bugs has made me less productive on my first couple jobs but hopefully the bugs will get ironed out and my workarounds sufficient to make the going easier.
