Thanks fuzzy,
Maybe....
It seems this was an library part made to overcome the issue that you couldn't adjust the reference plane of a slab in older versions. It sounds like it might allow me to reference to the Current story, but i'm wondering if there isn't a built in feature in current versions of ArchiCAD that accomplishes this.
In ArchiCAD 18, you can adjust the reference plane of the slab, so the reference plane can be set to the bottom face of the slab which is perfect for ceilings. When i use the level dimension, it can link to the bottom face if i set it that way.
I have 2 clues, but can't stitch them together.
Clue 1: In this link, the dialogue box looks like it has a Dimension Origin pulldown option. It does not exist on my screen though, I cant fine it. Does this look familiar to anyone?

Clue 2: on the "Coordinate Palette" there are buttons corresponding to Gravity, and it seems I should be able to toggle the Dimension Origin from there. But when i go to place the level dimension, it does not change anything. (See the attached screenshot)
I'd like to stick to a stock/ standard ArchiCAD solution if possible, and I think I'm close. Any other ideas?
