Line covering tool needed

Not applicable
In section/elevation there is a tool needed to cover or graphically misc. lines instead of using a blank fill to cover them up.

The fill tool doesn't work for you? How would a specific tool be any different?

This wist is because of something I saw in Revit. If an line appears in the view you can choose what appears to be a masking line tool draw over the previous line and presto its gone. However its not really gone just masked out. Most of the time the fill tool is adaquate.

Thanks

this line tool that revit has - to beable to just "draw" a line out, just trace it out would be so much easier and quicker than using fills.

WOULD THIS WORK??? - me not being a drafterguy:

1: a new layer - "line masker"

2: a new pen - color of drawing background (for printing: white) with a width greater than your widest line.

Establish Favorite....

3: trace over badboy lines.

4: Select all of that color and bring to front if necessary....

What about just using a white line of the appropriate thickness.
I have set up a white pen that matches the thickness of each of my coloured pens.
The coloured pens all print black in plotmaker and the white pens white.

No need to try to get fill to sit over a line - unless there is a whole area you want to mask.
