3D gone wild

The 2D part of the file seems to be OK, but anything 3D looks like the attached. I have removed and reloaded the SE 9 Library (a freshly downloaded copy). The section markers have been deleted and new ones have been added, but I am still getting this exploded 3D. All sections and 3D models are affected. Any ideas?[/img]

I've had that problem before.

No idea what causes it, but I found that deleting the elevation and creating a new one made it go away (just make sure you copy out all your 2D content first!!)

Tom....I tried deleting all sections and elevations, saved the drawing, rebooted for good measure, opened the drawing again and cut a new section. Had the exact same result. Below is a 3dmodel from the same drawing.
Rakela.....I've been able to edit in 3D since I started using ArchiCAD (4 months) and this is the first time that I've had this kind of thing happen. Do you have trouble editing in 3D?

OK, the times I've seen that it only looked that way in one elevation. The 3D window was fine.

there is no problem editing in 3d view....it was my error snapping to something that i wasnt supposed to...and i got something similar to what u got...and my error wasnt so obvious to me!!

Do a thin marquee for each storey, go to 3D window, move stuff vertically until it matches.

You did not check the levels of the stuff you were putting in, it seems.

BUT - of the model was right, and then all of a sudden this happened, then it is another kettle of fish ...

I had a similar problem and tracked it back to Special Edition 9 window which did not like the way I set some parameters. Try eliminating windows on a copy, and see if it goes away. If that it is it, then you can track down the offending one. (Could be a door too)

I was busy throwing alligators out of the pond when I ran into it and did not have time to figure out precisely what was going on with the window parameters, worked around it with another window that was close enough at the time.

Djordje.....the model has been fine for 3 months. I should have been more clear about what I was showing you. Some of the walls, windows & doors have disappeared in the model, but not in 2D. Attached is an earlier incarnation of a similar view of the house. Everything is lined up as it should be.
Ted.....now you've got me thinking! Zobi had a problem with window paramaters in another drawing.....but they were really obvious. I'm going to try your suggestion and see if I can remove the alligators from my drawing too. Actually, no alligators here, but wonderful pods of Orcas.....an amazing thing to see on the way to work on the ferry.
