Iāve started a list already. It's not complete... But here it is in its current form:
- 1. When multiple ACs are open, Command-Tabbing between apps doesnāt show the name of the file over the ArchiCAD icon like it did before.
2. Itās not easy to have multiple ACs open in different āspaces.ā It is a manual process to drag each window of an instance of AC to the other āspace.ā You should probably just keep all ACs in a single āspace.ā
3. iChat Screen Sharing is a DREAM!!!
- a) First, both Macs need to go under the iChat preferences to the video tab and set the bandwidth limit to something like 500kbits or 1Mbit. BOTH Macs need to do this.
b) You must initiate either a text, audio or video chat (text probably bestāand say something like, āIām staring the screen sharing process.ā) and the the screen sharing icon at the bottom of the Buddy List for that user becomes available and you can then either share your screen or ask to share theirs. They will have to approve/accept either option of course.
c) iChatās audio chat automatically turns on allowing both parties to talk to each other while screen sharing (REALLY cool that it does it automatically)
d) And, unlike most all other screen sharing peer-to-peer apps, iChat does NOT require either party to configure port passing nor be in front of a firewall. It just works!!! ...as easy as video chatting!
e) And hereās he kicker... The smart icons all work on the remote screen! No more permanent check arrows. You get checks, mercedes symbols, pencils, crosses, etc.!!!
As for System level stuff... I do notice it is a tad sluggish in the Finder. I have to relaunch my Finder every now and again to fix stupid little quirks and bugs.
I still have more testing to do, but it seems like AC11 (and 10) is running at an operational level. The iChat screen sharing for me is the most useful aspect of this as a reseller/techsupporter. It puts all other apps like GoToMyPC, VineWare and even my favorite of all time Timbuktu to shame.
However, as GS has said, it's not officially compatible yet until a patch comes out, so upgrade at your own risk.
