Magic Wand onto the arc/circle tool not able to fill but instead makes a hexagon.

I have been able to do this on previoud versions. I was able to draw a circle in plan using the arc/circle tool and then use space bar to populate it with either a fill, slab. In version 28 it seems to create a hexagon instead, is there a new setting i dont know about?

Operating system used: Mac Apple Silicon 15.6.1

Hi,

you can edit the segmentation of magic wand from Design - Magic Wand Settings.

I assume you have a high value for curves or have linear segmentation on.

hope this helps.

'Best Match' in the magic wand settings will give you proper curves - in plan at least.

In 3D (elevation) curves will still be translated to segments, I think the default is 36 segments per circle.

Usually this is fine.

The only way to make the curves smoother is to use 'Linear Segments. in the magic wand settings and increase the number of segments.

Thank you this was what i was looking for. I have never used this setting as my previous version of AC the setting must of been on 'Best Match' as the default setting.
