Magic Wand - space bar - Need this to be working again

So..at this point I need the "magic wand" to be working again.
it wont actually "select" the pline I'm trying to create into a "slab" object.

Where/what file/folders do I need to delete in my Windows 7 OS and PC machine to make this happen?

Please help.

I don't understand what you mean by selecting the polyline with the space bar.

If it's some kind of element you want to create in the shape of the polyline - select the polyline, then click on the slab, mesh, morph.... then move the cursor to a node or edge of the polyline and hit the space bar with a node or part of the polyline selected.

hey Steve,
good to hear from you.

Selecting polyline with spacebar....yes, if you draw a pline, select the slab tool, the "HOLD" down then space bar while you hover your mouse over the pline.....the magic wand takes the outline of the pline and creates a slab out of it.....that's what I mean by "hold the space down".....which as of now, doesn't work anymore.

I spoke to a GS guru yesterday, seems the BUG that it had before the 8004 (I think) release of the hotfix came back.

selecting with space bar no longer works.

I see. Select element type - holding down the spacebar, click on a node or part of the polyline. Yes. That works fine in 19 build # 5005.

yes....that's all fine and dandy in AC19 but in AC18, there's some sort of BUG that's still present in that it wont actually "activate" the space bar selection/copying function/conversion to "whatever" the object you are trying to make it into.

In AC18, and this now has happened to me often, the space bar just WILL NOT work.

The GS guru gave me a workaround. it's fine...but sure would like to have that "space bar selection hovering" function back again.

Tell GS you want to get some money back to compensate you for the loss in functionality they charged you for.

By the way, you may want to model that as a roof or mesh so you can put some slope on it. Split it for control joints.

yeah....you know I've often thought about getting an attorney and claiming a case for "loss of work productivity" due to software malfunction but to be quite honest, GS has been very good at responding via phone calls to my bug issues....some have been "user lack of knowledge" others have been "well, the function is indeed broken and we have to get back to GS HQ for help here".....but I must say and say in writing, that GS has been very good at trying their best to fix these issues.....
