Powdered wrote:Margins? Scaling? Centered output?
In ArchiCAD, I marquee an area to print, or in this case, make a PDF. Most often the marquee lines show in the PDF. Sometimes 2 lines, sometimes 3... rarely all 4. Anyone know the remedy? Thanks.

Not sure about margins. Scaling down to fit on 8.5x11. Centered output, yes. Marqueed area only. I've had this happen on plots as well... Any ideas? I am thinking XP or video card.

What pdf driver are you using to create the pdf? I've never seen this happen before. A little more detail would be helpful.
Thanks,

If you are using Distiller then I assume you are first creating a Postscript file. This could be the problem; Postscript output often includes everything whereas PDF only includes what would normally be printed. For example, in PlotMaker 2.x (maybe in 3.x also) saving a layout as Postscript includes drawings that are outside the printable area.
If so, how are you generating the EPS files?

I marquee an area to print, set scale, etc. then go to File/Print and select Acrobat Distiller as my virtual printer. Then Acrobat Reader pops up with PDF of area selected.
This error occurs only in ArchiCAD. In Plotmaker, we typically output entire sheets as PDFs.

Curious...
I haven't tried Distiller as a virtual printer. Perhaps it is producing Postscript first for PDF conversion by Distiller.
Since you have the full Acrobat why don't you try the PDF printer of theirs or the Amyuni (sp?) driver included with AC? (I assume you are on PC as this is a non-issue on Macs.)
