Try changing your insulation background fill to transparent so it doesn't block the view of the truss beyond.

Thanks Erika. I already had background fills for all the floor composite materials set to transparent - puzzling.

Did you check your section depth?
Did you try selecting the truss and setting the display order to bring it to the front?
Also, did you check you section settings?

Yes, truss display order is set to front.
In section settings I have Fill Cut Surfaces with 'Cut fills as in settings'.
If I increase section depth of truss it appears above the composite floor also. Other objects also do not display within the composite floor depth.
I think it must be a general display settings issue but I can't see where I can affect this change?

I think your section marker has to cut through the middle of your floor truss object to display fully, if you haven't tried that.

That worked to an extent Danj.
The cut timber displays but not the metal pressed web!
