Middle of wall showing not true to materials?

When i am putting doors into my walls my wall holes are not showing tru to their materials, but they are showing what they would be showing if I had selected to override the building materials.
They are cad image doors and complex profile walls.

any ideas where i can fix this?

(That wall in the background - I turned on "override surfaces, changed it to the stone pattern, and then unchecked the box again)

Here is an other example.
In this one, where you see the stone surface at the end, I have stopped that kind of wall, and began an other one where the door starts. So that stone is not being cut by the door, but you can see that the CMU block material is showing through teh door here again.

I don't know if it is a door or a wall setting? a display setting?

The edges of doors and windows do not show the correct materials to suit your complex profiles.
As you have discovered you will see only one material - I'm not sure exactly which material it chooses to show.
You really don't have any control of it anyway.
You can over-ride the wall end material but this will still only give you the one material.

Here is another post on the same subject.

Look for the post by Karl that offers some links o other solutions.

Thank you for pointing me in that direction.
So all that I read is disappointing news. . .

But I did read ways to get around it.
