Missing 2D elements in Door, Again

I am again having a Display problem. I have a ATI 9600 with the latest Driver.

I was having a similar problem with AC8.1 http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?p=21407&highlight=#21407

And now with AC9. The doors shown is the screen shot are all from the AC9 Library.

This behavior appears after working sometime in AC. I have not "pinned-down" what I may be doing to cause this.

On the next message I will post a screen shot of the same doors after saving the file and re-opening. Trim is now appearing again.

Also you may already know that you can select all the doors at once and change the setting. The difficulty comes when you have already set Favorites to have this option. You must select each Favorite, change default option to Detailed (or something other than Scale Sensitive) and then Re-save favorite using the "new" default value.

I can not believe that this is not more widespread. Maybe most are not using the Scale Sensitive Parameter.

It just started happening to me. All my doors/windows on "scale sensitive".

I started to go through the project and change each door's setting from Scale Sensitve to Detailed. After 20 doors I thought, "This is nuts. Didn't I see a setting somewhere that globally controls at what scale doors and windows appear as simple or detailed when Scale Sensitive is the setting for the doors and windows?

Is there such a global setting?

John, here is a workaround......Select the door tool, select all doors (Command "A" on my Mac), open the "Door Selection Settings" (Command "T") go: parameters> options> 2D detail and change to "detailed". NOTE: If it doesn't change every door, try changing to different setting like "simple",.... "OK" out,.... then repeat, changing the setting to "detailed"....... same deal to change windows.

But..... why is this happening? I was doing Dimensions when it started.

I sure wish that Graphisoft was not so silent on this issue. I believe, that this is a bug.

GS, how is the Scale sensitive parameter to be used, and adjusted? The Attached screen show is from the Online help. Not a whole lot is said here. At what scale does the object become Sensitive or "Insensitive"?

GS please respond........

Jay,
I've written to GraphiSoft directly and they are looking into this. If/when I hear anything I'll let you know.

This is an issue we are working on resolving as soon as possible. In the menatime, here is a workaround:

If one reloads libraries the current the details of the current scale will get fixed but only until a new scale change happens. Then one has to reload libraries again.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Dave,
Can you inform us as to at what Scale the Detailing is to appear or Disappear? Can this Scale be set by the user?

Dave,
I did not understand your answer as my ArchiCAD projects employ at least two or three different scales. Does this mean that we need to reload libraries each time we switch between views with different scales?Would you please explain it again?
Thank you,
John

I am having the same problem with doors! This needs to be fixed!

This has also happened to me and is totally annoying. The whole point of setting the door/window Parameter Option to "Scale Sensitive" is to have the drawing print out appropriately at 1/4" scale, 1/8" scale or at 1-1/2" scale. It is obviously a bug and Graphisoft would do to investigate this bug and issue a hotfix.

I'm a new user and have no Favorites set up yet. I am just testing each particular component to see how it's going to be of benefit. Whilst I am new to ArchiCAD I have extensive experience in other CAD programs and can usually work out how to do something. I'm pretty sure that this is a program bug and not user error!

The drawings are not adjusting the level of detail for the different drawing scales.

I also am having the problem with the level of detail shown in the doors and windows. When I change to different scales the scale sensitive option is not working as it should. It doesn't turn off the casework detail when I'm at a smaller scale. I have the latest hotfix installed and am on a PC w/ Windows XP.
