AND ANOTHER THING
I am discovering is that sometimes -often- lines which at one refresh did exist in any given section will not appear in the next refresh of the same section. But may reappear again, later. Without me making any changes to the objects the lines represent...it is being awfully fussy, and I don't understand what the variables are.

check to see that you don't have duplicate elements...sometimes if elements are copied right on top of each other they can "unpredictably" cancel the 2d display out...just a thought.

are you changing layer combinations? the visible set of layers gets saved with a 'VIEW' - so if you use the view editor to jump around your project rather than the 'navigator' you may find the views alter your layer settings automatically . . .

Hi, thanks...I think that it is more mysterious than either explanation...let me try again:
I am looking at my section, and my footings are visible at the plane of the cut, as well as beyond (as I have it set to view distance). I'll right-click, and do a "rebuild from model". The computer thinks for a sec, and then the cut-lines of my footing disappear, though the distant footing lines remain.
Sometimes this happens with other parts of the building, ceiling and walls, namely...is it just buggy? Or is something I am doing?
