Would there be an easy way to model this kind of railing? It seems you (or just me) can't achieve this with the railing tool.

Hi @Bregt
The key is to define your repetitive pattern using as many inners posts you need with their top offsets related to empty/blank horizontal rails with the necessary heights to match the wave line.

You can achieve this with a curtain wall, by using the contour in edit mode.
It may be a little tedious with a curved shape though.

Agreeing with Botonis. It's not that hard if a lot of detail is not necessary. You might need to do those horisontal structures separately though, depending how accurate you need it to be.

If it is possible, I always try to achieve the goal with the "original" tool and then look for other alternative ones, but it is another way to do it, that's for sure.

It took me some time to realize that there is no "original tool".
Just use the tool which gives the best result/performance for the 3d element you want to create. Forget the names.

Hi Ricardo,
This works perfectly, thanks! It takes some time to set it up but it's easy to handle afterwards.

thats exactly what archicad gurus like Jared Banks and James Murray teach. Once you get past tools labels, modelling flexibility in archicad opens up quite a bit. The same cannot be said about revit.
