Check out the various options for walls at the top of the wall settings dialogue.
1st row of icons is reference line orientation
2nd row - straight wall, trapezoid, polygon plan shape
3rd row - vertical, sloping, double sloping, custom profile
For openings use door or window tool, select the "empty opening" option if you don't want a frame etc.

Also, you must TRIM walls to roofs to have their tops (or bottoms) slope. You can also use SEO's to cut them into funky shapes. Generally walls are boxy to start with.
