Mouse - Hand icon glitch?

here's the thing.
sometimes....when I'm zoomed into a corner of a wall lets say...the "hand icon" pops up instead of the little arrow for selection.

Now...when I zoom out and see the entire screen...and select "wall" object to create. Then cancel the "wall object" (or any other function for example)...and zoom back in to where I was previously....the little "hand" icon is gone......and the arrow is back...."WT heck" is going on here folks?

is this a glitch, a user error or what???

I get the odd cursor icon glitch now and then. Hasn't been a problem though.
