I think this is a usefull adition, much like the online version of the MSDN (Microsoft Developer Network).

The best thing about it is that it allows you to search through the most recent verision of the help-files and most people will have broadband by now or in the near future.

I would suggest to extend this to as much info as Graphisoft can collect: tips 'n tricks, updated info, knowledge base-articles, online books etc...

e.g. MS Visual Studio as a developer application includes a full (+/-800 MB) set of help information and considering most of this is in text-format, the content is enormous.

In fact, maybe all collected Architalk-info could slowly be included in such a system.

-------> What I definitely would suggest is including more then just an electronic copy of the manuals: every single parameter and settings and switch inside ArchiCAD should be explained.

--------> I suggest to also document all library elements: at the moment I'm spending too much time with trial and error seeing if I can tweak a Library object so it's the way I like. The small preview is a help but not adequate: the power of GDL-objects is hindered by their lack of interactivity. Help files could compensate (a bit) for this effect.

It appears that the New help files and Safari Web Browser do not work together. I am using version 1.0.1(v85.6) of Safari.
Internet Explorer works fine.

Anybody else tried it with Safari?

Also, I tried to email this directly using the address below and it came back as a delivery failure.

It works for me with the same version of Safari. Strangely, the only thing that I find that doesn't work is the forward and back buttons.

works for me: safari 1.1.1 (v100.1)

forward/back buttons in safari don't work, but the website's own previous/next buttons do. . .

Well, I tried it again this morning and it works like a charm. The only thing changed was a restart between then and now.Must have cleared something out of my machine's craw.

Thanks for the responses.
