Orbiting - while in perspective mode or axonometric mode????

It has been suggested to me that I shouldn't be orbiting around my 'model' environment in a "perspective" mode, rather I should orbit around in "axonometric" mode and use the perspective mode to get my views by using the "walking man" feature???

What have the rest of you done?

Reason I orbit in perspective mode, is well, because that's how you can see quickly what view you are going to want to save/render.

Granted, I find that sometimes in the Perspective mode I lose myself in 3d space but.........for the most part, if you keep the mouse cursor point to somewhere in the center of the perspective view when you begin your orbiting sequences, then you will have a better chance of not getting lost in 3d space.

How do the rest of you move in 3d space in the model view (F5) environment to set up your views? in Axonometric mode or perspective mode???

thanks.

Hey Rob,

I see your getting into this? your now offically an Archicad guy! No more AutoCAD....

For those of you who don't know..Rob was a recent convert from the dreaded AutoCAD. took a while to convince the man but he came around.
He still gets crap from his supers. Always questioning him on what can be done in Archicad but he's maintained the groove. BTW, I hear you almost gave his super a heart attack once....
