Thanks so much...i know the pick up and inject its really a simple action...but i was asking because sometimes theres tricks that can help...but notin this case..

Thanks to all who answer this question....maybe in archicad 27 will have a pick up and inject personalized parameter transfer!...

It is not possible to pick and choose the parameters you would like to transfer - that would be nice though.

Having said that it is not impossible to do but only for transfering (or not transfering) parameters between different object in the objects settings dialogue box.
You cannot use this to transfer parameters on plan between objects.

You will have to edit and save your library parts.
Open the door (or any other part) and in the parameter list select the parameter you do not want to be altered and press the "U" button (I forget its proper name).
Save your object.
Now select the object you want the parameters of and open the object settings dialogue.
Find the object you want to stransfer to and CTRL-ALT click (inject) - don't just select it.
All parameters that are similar will transfer except those that you set not to.

I stress again this does not work in anything except the object settings dialogue and therefore does not work for different instances of the same object.
So not really the solution you are looking for but one worth knowing.

Actually there are some some choices of parameters that can be made, just not the sizes of windows/doors. Check the Favorites Preferences for what choices are available.

If you save a favorite of the W/D you like, double click on this favorite to activate it. In the settings box, change the sizes as you want and then inject the parameters.

Similarly, pick up the properties from an existing window, change the dimensions in the tools' settings, then inject into existing or place a new window.

Hello, i found the solution. It works on Archicad 20!

Parameter Transfer Between Objects
It may be common to want to transfer parameters between objects within a project (more specifically windows and doors).
A window or door may be setup with all the relevant parameters such as cavity closure, reveal, materials etc.
When a different window or door is selected from their respective tool settings dialog, all the parameters will reset to their defaults, thus requiring the window or door to be setup again - this can be time-consuming.

Parameter Transfer gives a method to transfer parameters to a different object of the same type (e.g. between two window objects).

Workflow: To transfer parameters between objects of the same type, do the following:

Go In the object's Settings dialog box, make parameter modifications as needed, then place the object.
Use the Parameter Pickup shortcut (Hold <ALT>+click) to pick up the parameters of the placed object
Open the Settings dialog box.
Use the Parameter Transfer shortcut (Hold <CTRL>+<ALT>)
Move the cursor to the next object to be placed, until the cursor changes to the syringe (this may take a small amount of movement to find the syringe)
Click on the object to transfer the parameters. All transferable parameters of the originally modified object will be transferred to the newly selected object.
Place the object using the changed parameters.

Thanks a lot! It really does work! Just saved me a ton of extra time.

It is not quite as easy as this.
This could always be done - even back in the version when the original post was made.

The problem is that this transfers ALL settings including the window sizes - which is what the original poster did not want to do.

However now in version 21 there is a new "Element Transfer Settings" that allows you to customise which settings will be transferred.
So the original posters problem should now be solved in version 21.
