Plotmaker: Fonts: inch and pt size, where to set preference

Does anyone know where to set the preference to allow only one or the other preference so that I will not get inch sizing for fonts?

I assume you are talking about PlotMaker, as points and mm are the only options in AC (and are a global preference). The settings are are local in PM and refer to whether the text is scaled (model space) at a real world dimension, or absolute (paper space) retaining the same printed size regardless of scale. There is (AFAIK) no global preference for this in PM.

So what is the best way, since we always work in paper space, to maintain the "pt" setting as opposed to "mm" in PM for consistency sake.
