Problems with Details

I've been drafting my details over an open detail window, everything looks fine, but of course my call-outs have to be tiny in order to fit the detail area.....when I print as a PDF however, the lines are really thick, and i've tried the thinest line type, but its still too thick....what am I doing wrong? Shouldnt the small area still print with the same line weight as the rest of the drawing?

How do you print - straight from the detail window or from the layouts?

And so on ...

Never assume other people understand what are you doing and how are you doing it

You have to set your viewscale (down at bottom of your view, Current Scale) to the same as your printing scale, or else your lines could be very thick or thin.
