Rail End Component Settings

For such a complex Tool, the AC Help sure is lacking.

Can anyone tell me what the "Ending Type" parameter in the Rail End Component Settings does? I just want a simple half-sphere as illustrated by the icon in the End Component Panel.

Also -- I seem to have a choice of any Profile Type, even those not saved as a Railing Component...

...which is handy for attaching a precast tee to the end of my rail

Laura,

Here is an illustration of the settings and parameters to achieve a half-sphere Rail End. You should save a Favorite of it so you can apply it any time later.
You will have to save a separate Toprail End Favorite and another Rail End Favorite, they seem to be separate GDL subtypes.
