Railing connections.

Just playing around with stairs and railings and I have come across a problem I can't find a solution for.

I had a railing on a stair and after much messing around I got it to look how I wanted (almost!).
I then extended the end to continue the railing along a slab, but it seems I can not edit the connection.

With other connections I can select the railing and go into EDIT mode, select the connection I want and adjust the settings.
But this new connection doesn't seem to exist - at least I can find nothing to select so I can edit it (see attached image).

Changing the settings of the entire railing has no effect as it seems as if all the various bits (railings, balusters, posts, etc.) all have their own individual settings and no longer respond to the overall settings.

I hope I am missing something simple.
Any ideas?

Seems I have answered my own question.
Resetting custom nodes and segments gives me control of the entire railing again.
Then I just have to reset the custom bits again.

Now to figure out how to edit the heights if the corner posts separately.

I think if you select the Railing and use the "Convert Pattern to Segment Length" command of the context menu, you will be able to edit those individual Posts individually.

Thanks Laszlo but I have tried that.
I think it is because technically it is all one corner post node but with offset posts - so they all behave as one.
It would be nice to control them individually - I will make a wish for this.

I think my only option is to have inner posts and possibly do as you say to convert pattern to segment length.
But I am not sure if this will work either as inner post will appear around the automatic post for the segment length on the long runs.

Or add more nodes so I end up with more corner posts (single posts) at each of my offset posts.
Then hide the actual post and all the railings and balusters between on the real corners.

Yes, I think you are right, those 2 posts are technically (internally) a single Railing Node.

After you used the "Convert Pattern to Segment Length" command you can select individual Segments by clicking segments of the Railing Reference Line and modify the Segment Pattern of only the Segment you need. This way you will not have Inner Posts generated in the whole Railing.

That was the trick.
Nodes at every post (except the inner posts on the long runs).
Then start hiding everything in the corners.
Was a bit of a pain and there may be other ways to do this - but it worked.
