Removing Storey Lines In Section

Hello,

Does anyone here know how you can remove those damn storey marker lines that Archicad always draws for you in Section?

I've been to the Section Tool Settings but can't for the life of me find the command to turn those damned lines off.

Cheers,

Robert

Try unticking the boxes in the 'storeys' toolbox (CTRL-7). Its the last column.

I can't believe you're so upset over something that's in the user manual and you could have found yourself pretty easily.

Thanks KeesW !!!

Yeah I guess that was pretty stupid... I spend the whole time looking in the wrong spot thinking that it might be under the Section Tool's Settings...

And thanks to you as well TomWaltz for your helpful input; one more to your post count

Hehehe no but seriously thanks to everyone.

I think one of the attractions of this forum is that you don't have to dig through the manual to get the help you need.

I actually disagree with you on this. It is quite easy to do a quick search of the Help menu before asking questions on the forum. IMHO the forum is best utilized for questions which are not easily found and often only knowable through experience.

Perhaps some people don't realize that the active people on this forum are answering your questions out of generosity and interest in helping users get better at a program which is not simple to master. I think it is a waste of these resources to ask questions which can be found with a quick search on the forum or the help menu.

Just my opinion mind you. I think one of the best things about using AC is the quality of users who continue to give their time in answering questions on this forum so I would hate to loose that by misusing their obvious expertise.

Hey, why work or think when someone else can do it for you?

I was going to post the same question as New_Xieland! It took me a month to find out how to do it, because there is a strange bug there - if both values of "Offset to section boundary " are zero, the middle checkbox is grayed out and it is impossible to remove the lines.

You're looking in the wrong spot. There's a setting a couple tabs up that allow you to choose between story line visibility to be "None", "Display Only", or "Display and Print"

Thank you, Tom! Right as always! 😉

I think this illustrates a tendency for AC to become a very complex application. I hope it is for good!
