Representing cantilevers on floor plan

Hi all, I am trying to make the cantilever on the second story show as a dashed line on the first story. What is the best way to do that?

Thanks

Yes, everyone does do it their own way.

We set our slabs (floor composits) to extend to the sheathing line, as they do in real construction. The wall extends to the bottom of the slab, or more accurately, to the bottom of the mud sill. SEO the slab from the wall with downwards extrusion, put in your mud sill and the model is correct. Siding is outside of the slab so it all shows properly and in section is correct. Doesn't everyone do it that way?
I like the sound of this method...... if it weren't for having to "think" when placing the height (elevation) of doors and windows.

A guy I worked for once told me:
"There's two ways you can do that.... my way..... or my other way"

This is fixed in 10. You can set the doors and windows relative to the story (by head or sill of course).

BTW - When I said "doesn't everyone do it that way", tongue was firmly in cheek. Yes, door and window height was a pain. But we had problems with 3d showing extra lines when we set the wall at actual floor height. We started doing it "our way" with AC6.5. No SEO'S back then, but less problems in 3d seemed to be worth it. Am looking forward to 10.

Of course, I just couldn't resist.
