!Restored: No solid fills in section/elevation

I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone. No solid fills are showing in sections or elevations. They show in plans fine, and all other fills show correctly in sect/elev--just not solid ones and no matter what pen is chosen. Display options are set for all fills to display AS IN SETTINGS, fill background BY ELEMENT SETTINGS. I've been staring at these computer screens all day and I'm afraid I've lost my mind. What the heck am I overlooking?

I thought maybe I was just fatigued last night when this occurred, but this morning I'm stumped. I can't believe this is an AC glitch, as it would have been found by others. Anyone have any ideas? Kinda frustrating

As far as I know, you never could unless the section/elevation is unlinked, then you can manipulate the fills as needed... or generate a 3D with parallel settings straight on. Is the screen shot what you are looking for? It was done with parallel settings and the internal engine.

First of all, all fills that are defined within objects' settings in plan are showing fine in elevation. The problem is occurring when I'm CREATING a fill in an elevation window. Any fill I create here shows correctly--EXCEPT solid fills. That's it.

Hi Dave,

With the model view options that you indicated (background 'by element', fill 'as in settings' for all fill types), everything is fine for me...

UPDATE (weird): I just discovered one elevation in which solid fills will display properly, but all the other elevations and sections will not. As far as I can tell, the settings for the one "working" elevation is identical to all the others--i.e., object settings, model view options, layer combos.

I've no problem here either. (I normally use solid fills to cover items I don't want to display).
The only issue i've seen is that when I create them, they usually end up behind the auto-updated content of the S/E. So I have to bring them forward to see them. Once that's done, they stay in front.

Right--my experience has been the same. This is just goofy. I still cannot find a single difference between the settings of my one working elevation and the others.
