The roof light you are trying to use only works in the middle of a roofplane. It wont work well on top.

The easiest way to construct a roof like you require is to use individual roofs as the rafters, a beam or a wall as the ridge and a thinner roof as the glass.

It takes a bit longer to construct, but it does behave correctly according to the FPCP which can be useful.

I didn't try it... But if I were in your situation I'd try create a
plan roof (0 degrees) in the area you want to place the skylight
and place it in the middle of it. Then you adjust the skylight angle to fit the other roofs.
Hope it helps.

Your right, Braza. It does work on a flat roof.

The trouble with the library part is that it is not very flexible though. You can't adjust the spacing or the size of the individual glazing bars. It isn't really suited or designed for use on a long length of roof, but if it is suitable for Mr/Mrs/Miss/Ms Skylight and gives the effect they want, then carry on!
