Roof Pivot lines

Brad Norris
Booster

Posted this somewhere else in the wrong place, so this is a duplicate posting.

Roof Pivot lines could be very useful as a way to set the bearing point of a roof. I usually set mine to the inside of the wall framing as this is where the bottom of my joist would sit.  The problem is the pivot line for a composite roof that includes drywall will put the pivot line on the outer surface which is the drywall.  There should be a way to designate the pivot line to be on the core, not a finish or other

Operating system used: Windows 11 pro

I agree, it should be like the slab tool.

You should make a wish in the wishes forum (check to see if there is one there already).

However the drywall lining should stop at the internal wall frame, and would not extend the extent of the roof eave externally.

So I would model that lining separately which avoids the problem.
