In fact, this shape is a curb shape and maybe Complex Profile is the answer.
But I don't know how to draw the profile.

I will accept the chalenge of making this with ArchiCAD only.
I will post results when I have some. Someone else may do it before I do.
But are you sure you need to model it in ArchiCAD? Why don't you just download a Sketchup model of St. Basils, save it as .3ds, convert .3ds in to .gdl. ?
You can make model new .gdl model parts out of any part of the imported .3ds model.

The Shell tool is new. Not many of us know how to use it very well yet.
I am working on it. When I figure out how to make this twisted dome shape it I will post my results. This may be very easy for someone. I don't know. It looks hard to me but I think I can do it. It will take some time.
Also, the shape you see for the twisted dome is actually made up of many smaller parts. One option is to model these smaller parts and arrange them to form the final shape just as the original construction was done. It will be a matter of finding those unique shapes and multiply with rotation as needed. This is not a simple shape if made exactly as it is constructed. If all you want is a reasonable representation, that is a different matter.
In my opinion, ArchiCAD is not a free form modeler and does not need to be.

ArchiCAD can make construction documents even for Blobitecture and shapes that appear to be free form but if the thing you want to make is truly free from then you don't need construction documents. What you need for that are illustrations.

This is close enough without more specific geometry to work with.
It turns out to be very simple. I made a section through the model to get the profile of the dome. Then used a circle and the profiler to make a round object that follows the profile of the dome. I did add a roty rotx script to the object, tilted it to 45 and rotated a copy of it about the axis every 10 deg. or so.
Selecting all of these objects at one time I can change the height, width, etc...until it looks like the twisted dome.
This is just one way it can be done. I am trying some others.
From here it's just a matter of some SEO and you have it.
Now that I know how to do it, it can be done in about 5 min. or less.

Place it so it shows up in a cross section of the model. Sketchup - saved as .3ds - converted in ArchiCAD to .gsm is how I got this model in ArchiCAD.
You can stretch it and resize it in the cross section to make the curve and rotation you want. The in plan view rotate/multiply it about the axis.
I think this will make a very good twisted dome of the profile you want for St. Basils.

This is interesting. I just modeled this glass with the same Spiral 15 object I made the twisted dome with. As you can see in the one with the black background, I used an SEO to make the lip of the glass smoother.
