Roofs connexion

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hello I'm getting crazy on an issue

I can't connect 2 single pan roofs.By connecting I mean I would like those 2 pan to act together like a multiplan roof (that would let me crop wall by those 2 pan at a same time)

I've tried the solution of :
-select roof
-cmd (osX) + click on other roof

That do nothing more ...

You can find my project file there (ArchiCad 18):

Was wondering if it is typical for the wall to show through the top of the roof after the trim/connect command has been executed. Would like the wall to stop at the bottom of the roof, not the top.

Any way to do this using the connect/trim command.

Thanksl

I think there is something wrong with that specific Wall-Roof connection because the Roof should trim the top of the Wall so it should not extend above the Roof once the operation is performed.
Can you try it with a newly placed Wall and a newly placed Roof? Place the away from your model so they do not accidentally interfere or intersect with any other existing elements. Does it work with those two elements?

It doesn't extend through the roof, but stops at the top of roof. The sloped top of the wall can be seen flush with the top surface of the roof. The wall is cut at the top surface of the roof rather than the bottom surface. See pic below.

This happens because the Intersection Priority value of the Wall's Building Material is higher than the Intersection Priority value of the Roof's Building Material. You should make it lower and that will solve the issue.
