I managed to choose only the first profile of the shell (by holding space bar and clicking on the previously drawn line), but not the second profile.

It is possible to do.
In the Floor Plan Viewpoint, draw the two profiles using e.g. the Polyline Tool.
Use the Shell Tool with the "Ruled" Geometry Method, and the "Detailed" Construction Method.
1. SPACE-click the first polyline.
2. Specify the Distance between the Planes.
3. Space-click the other polyline.
In the Floor Plan Viewpoint, draw the two profiles using e.g. the Polyline Tool.
Use the Shell Tool with the "Ruled" Geometry Method, and the "Detailed" Construction Method.

2. Specify the Distance between the Planes.
3. Space-click the other polyline.
